Associate - Mechanical

Job Summary

AECOM are seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in directing engineering teams, managing multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. Combining technical expertise, project leadership, and client engagement, the Associate drives design excellence, upholds quality standards, and contributes to the strategic growth of the practice.

  • Lead end-to-end MEP design projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule. Manage and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and high-performance delivery. Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring project objectives are met and stakeholder expectations are managed.
  • Oversee the design and analysis of complex MEP systems, ensuring compliance with safety codes, standards, and project specifications. Drive digital delivery through advanced tools such as Revit, Revizto, ACC, and BIM 360, implementing automated workflows to enhance efficiency and coordination within the BIM environment.
  • Champion sustainable design integration and regulatory compliance. Allocate resources effectively, control budgets, and evaluate technical and commercial aspects of building systems. Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes to ensure reliable, innovative outcomes.
  • Apply advanced engineering expertise to solve complex challenges, influence stakeholders, and deliver high-quality results. Promote a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting team development and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years post-undergraduate experience
  • B. Sc or BEng in Civil / Structural Engineering, International Accreditation (MIstructE or equivalent).
