Business Development Specialist - Projects and Fitout

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist (full-time or part-time) with a strong background in securing fit-out or construction projects under main contractors. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of winning projects in this sector and brings well-established relationships within the market.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for fit-out or construction projects, specifically under main contractors.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new projects and build partnerships with main contractors.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and proposals for construction/fit-out tenders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, consultants, and stakeholders in the industry.
  • Negotiate project terms, pricing, and contracts to close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover and execution.
  • Keep up-to-date records of leads, activities, and project status using CRM tools.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the fit-out/construction sector.
  • Achieve or exceed agreed project acquisition targets and KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in business development within fit-out or construction projects, especially under main contractors, is mandatory.
  • Demonstrable success and contacts in securing fit-out/construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel or attend meetings as necessary.
