We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist (full-time or part-time) with a strong background in securing fit-out or construction projects under main contractors. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of winning projects in this sector and brings well-established relationships within the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for fit-out or construction projects, specifically under main contractors.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new projects and build partnerships with main contractors.
- Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and proposals for construction/fit-out tenders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, consultants, and stakeholders in the industry.
- Negotiate project terms, pricing, and contracts to close deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover and execution.
- Keep up-to-date records of leads, activities, and project status using CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the fit-out/construction sector.
- Achieve or exceed agreed project acquisition targets and KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in business development within fit-out or construction projects, especially under main contractors, is mandatory.
- Demonstrable success and contacts in securing fit-out/construction projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel or attend meetings as necessary.
