Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the on-site execution of E&I construction activities in accordance with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and field crews engaged in electrical and instrumentation work.
  • Review and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and installation details.
  • Monitor progress, schedule adherence, and quality of work, providing daily and weekly reporting to project management.
  • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly managed on site.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues and ensure installation quality.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in collaboration with the commissioning team.
  • Enforce site safety policies, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with relevant mining and construction safety standards.
  • Contribute to planning meetings, schedule lookaheads, and interface coordination across disciplines (civil, mechanical, structural).
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, punch lists, redlines, and as-built records.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Instrumentation trade certification or engineering degree.
  • Experience in E&I construction, including  a supervisory role on mining or heavy industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, hazardous area classifications, and applicable codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, AS/NZS).
  • Experience working with large-scale mining equipment, process plants, substations, MCCs, and DCS/PLC systems.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.
  • Familiarity with project controls, progress tracking, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to work in remote or FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) conditions, if applicable.
