Parsons is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead (Technical Lead) to provide technical direction and leadership across a major integrated development project encompassing residential, infrastructure, tourism, commercial, maritime, entertainment, and logistics sectors.
This role is responsible for guiding the multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring technical integration across engineering packages, and serving as the technical authority on project-wide design decisions. The Engineering Lead will work closely with design managers, discipline leads, and client stakeholders to drive technical excellence, quality, and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide overall technical leadership and coordination across all engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and high-quality design outcomes.
- Oversee the resolution of complex technical issues and ensure consistency across design packages (infrastructure, utilities, buildings, and transportation).
- Support the preparation, review, and approval of design documentation including reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Ensure adherence to relevant design codes, local authority standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate technical interfaces between disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams.
- Lead internal technical reviews and contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Provide input to procurement, construction, and commissioning teams during later project phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical knowledge transfer across the team.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering design and coordination, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary project environments with complex technical scopes.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure systems, utility networks, and building services design.
- Familiarity with international design standards (e.g., BS, AASHTO, NFPA, ASHRAE) and regional regulations.
- Strong technical report writing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and design coordination platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM 360, Navisworks).
