The “Sports for Social Change” project is implemented by Etijah in partnership with local organizations, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), on behalf of the German government and co-financed by the European Union through the Equal Opportunities and Social Development (EOSD) program.
The project aims to foster social inclusion and ensure equitable access to sports, particularly for youth, women, girls, and persons with disabilities. Through its activities across three key governorates and over 10 local communities, the project has empowered youth and local organizations to use sport as a transformative tool for development and social cohesion.
As the project nears its conclusion, Etijah is organizing a closing ceremony to celebrate its journey, honor its partners and participants, and share the project’s impact and success stories with a wider audience.
The main objectives of the closing event are to:
– Celebrate the successful completion of the “Sport for Social Change” project.
– Highlight achievements and stories of positive transformation at the community level.
– Promote messages of inclusion, empowerment, and equality through sport.
– Engage beneficiaries, implementing partners, government stakeholders, and the public.
– Document the project’s journey through visual content and enhance its visibility.
– Propose a compelling event concept and theme that reflects the spirit and goals of the project.
– Develop creative and engaging storytelling approaches.
– Ensure inclusive design, with representation of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
– Secure a fully accessible venue suitable for approximately 300 attendees.
– Provide inclusive physical arrangements (e.g., ramps, restrooms, signage, seating).
