Junior Accountant

Job Summary

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in various financial activities, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a solid foundation in accounting to further develop their skills and contribute to the success of our organization. Duties & Responsibilities • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. • Handle bank related tasks: Statements, Reconciliation, Checks deposits & withdrawal, Transfers. • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations. • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed. • Prepare and submit weekly or monthly reports. • Issue invoices to customers. • Following up on customers’ payments collections. • Prepare Journal entries and documentation for day-to-day operations. • Communicate with the vendors/customers to answer their inquiries regarding any pending payments. • Handle the treasury tasks. • Co-ordinate & interact as required with governmental authorities such as GAFI, Tax authorities and social insurance. • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Junior Accountant or similar position. • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and concepts. • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
