The position is to provide technical support and direction to internal and external stakeholders focusing on Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services for other Development portfolio of projects and assets in Egypt. The role will include assisting in developing MEP design standards and ensuring these are implemented in the next generation of projects, from inception to handover. Should also drive forward the sustainability, digital design and innovation aspects.

ROLE PROFILE

• Assist in the creation and documentation of MEP design standards for all assets in Egypt.
• Collaborate with Majid Al Futtaim Properties stakeholders to gather data for MEP design standards.
• Facilitate communication with local authorities to ensure MEP standards align with current codes and regulations.
• Aid in the creation of a project benchmarking database and review project compliance with MEP standards.
• Engage with design consultants to ensure understanding and incorporation of design standards.
• Guide project teams to maintain design standards and intent from project inception to delivery.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, focusing on MEP, sustainability, digital design, and innovation.
• Conduct market research, product evaluations, and project assessments to ensure industry leadership and continuous improvement of MEP standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 10-12 years of progressive and successful experience in designing and delivering MEP systems, specifically in the retail sector, in Egypt and/or throughout the GCC.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate MEP design teams on complex projects.
• Knowledge of MEP project processes including design principles, procurement, and tendering.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety, environmental, and building regulations.
• Exceptional IT, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and relevant professional qualifications.
