Drive the execution of medical tactics aligned with the MASH medical strategy as a partner to other key functions (i.e. Marketing, MAPA, Sales, etc), across the 5 Medical Focus Areas. The role has a strong emphasis on the Diagnosis pillar of patient journey.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organizational Readiness
- Delivers internal medical training to other functions, e.g. Sales, Access, etc.
- Supports sales team in handling scientific and clinical questions for NN marketed products from KOLs and HCPs
Evidence Generation:
- Collects KOL insights to help identify gaps to be filled by clinical and outcomes research (global trials, local observational studies, ISS)
- Coordinates process of Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISSs) or any unsolicited clinical and/or scientific inquiries from KOLs/HCPs
- Supports Clinical Operations driving scientific discussion on site selection and site initiation visits where required
Insights for strategy
- Collaborates with BU in the identification and segmentation of relevant KOLs and Professional Associations relevant to the MASH therapy area
- Provides input into KOL engagement planning, execution and tracking and collaborates with internal stakeholders for alignment
- Gathers medical insights regarding NN and competitors’ products from KOLs and HCPs to help inform decision-making bodies and update the Medical and/or Marketing Strategies when necessary
- Participates in the evaluation and update of KOL engagements and Individual Engagement Plans (IEPs)
Scientific dialogue
- Supports the establishment and optimisation of internal scientific resources for internal use
- Identifies and supports the development of speakers and new KOLs
- Runs the medical education plan based on defined HCP learning needs
- Plans and executes medical education activities: congress symposia, standalone NN educational events at the local and regional level
- Supports Medical Information by developing and providing answers on request from HCPs as needed
- Participates in the execution of the therapy area/product publication plan (congress abstract and presentations, primary and secondary publications)
