MS Engineer - Azure

Job Summary

Operations Excellence
• Oversee the daily operation of our clients' cloud environments, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues relating to cloud services including compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with other Tier 2 engineers to maintain consistency and operability across multiple environments.
• Perform routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of operational systems and reporting on the health of systems.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new cloud infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhancements to existing architectures.
• Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to manage and monitor cloud services.
• Collaborate with other technical teams and departments to ensure client needs are met and that incidents and requests are resolved in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with delivery team on new projects handover.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for incident resolution outside business hours.
• Provide assistance and coach MS Associates as an escalation point and drive outage bridges to resolution.
• Document and communicate network event status using established systems and business practices.
• Provide timely escalations/notifications as required by procedure and avoid repeated outages on customers’ workloads.
• Provide service-oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection and resolution.
• Identify opportunities for improvements to the current processes and propose changes that can increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Drive root cause analysis efforts across multiple infrastructure layers (OS / Network / App).

Threat Response
• Monitor the network/systems, document network events and take corrective action in response to alerts.
• Troubleshoot alerts to resolve on priority, event and incident management within SLA and ensure ticket closure with correct RFO.
• Ensure the managed services operations comply with relevant standards, policies, and regulations. This might involve conducting regular audits and making necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
