Are you a strategic procurement professional with a passion for driving value and optimizing supply chain performance? Baladna, one of the fastest-growing dairy and food producers in the region, is hiring a Category Lead to manage procurement across key spend categories.

Based in Egypt, this role will work closely with our regional team, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and policy-compliant sourcing of goods and services, while leading a capable team and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage procurement activities across assigned categories, ensuring full alignment with business needs and budgetary targets.
• Guide and support the team in executing procurement tasks as per Baladna’s Procurement Manual and approved procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure performance, compliance, and value delivery.
• Draft and review contracts with fair and protective terms and conditions in line with legal and business requirements.
• Monitor market trends, commodity price movements, and supply risks — proactively advising stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements in procurement methods, cost controls, standardization, and supplier collaboration.
• Support training and capability development across the procurement team to ensure the right skill mix and performance levels.
• Oversee compliance with Qatar laws (customs, taxation, etc.) in all category-related activities.
