Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that support operational objectives and cost control.
- Oversee the procurement of raw materials, electrical components, and equipment in line with production requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with local and international suppliers to ensure optimal value.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate with the planning, production, quality, and finance departments to align purchasing with operational needs.
- Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and industry best practices to improve procurement efficiency and reduce risk.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Manage procurement records, reports, and documentation for auditing and internal use.
- Lead and mentor a team of buyers and procurement specialists, providing training and performance feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing and supply chain processes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must have experience in manufacturing industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software tools.
- Analytical thinking with attention to detail and cost optimization strategies.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
