Production Area Manager - (Industrial / Manufacturing Background)

Job Summary

As a Production Area Manager, your mission will be to lead manufacturing operations, ensuring high productivity, safety, and quality. You'll drive operational excellence by managing teams, optimizing production processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership, Optimization & Process Excellence

  • Lead the production area team to meet KPIs and align with organizational objectives.
  • Implement safety, health, and environmental standards in line with company policies.
  • Manage production plans, machinery, and workforce scheduling to meet output targets (MPA & OTIF).
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects (e.g., SMED, TPM, line balancing, cost reduction).
  • Monitor and enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure effective utilization of available resources and manage production budgets (OPEX & CAPEX).
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Build team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Promote a collaborative environment, motivating team members and fostering innovation.
  • Track deviations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Control material stocks, finished goods, and department assets (machines, tools, lines).

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in production management or industrial operations.
  • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in team leadership, process optimization, and performance management.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, KPIs, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent communication and team-building abilities.
