This role shall be responsible for Primary engineering of Gas Insulated Switchgear, active project contribution to reduce the lead time and cost of the offered GIS solution by developing a solution as per project technical requirements and to ensure quality of deliverable as top priority.
How you’ll make an impact
- Provide technical support for tendering & Execution of customer projects, preparation of Primary drawings & Bill of quantities for Engineered items of Gas insulated Switchgears.
- Technical lead for substations, overall responsibility for managing and leading all engineering activities of the project.
- Preparing specifications, check supplier’s offers & co-ordinate with Supply Chain Management for procurement of materials, equipment’s & services.
- Leading & attending discussions with customers, handle site queries and take necessary actions.
- Helping apprentices, entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams with design questions, review of deliverables before submission to client and preparation of technical documents for procurement of Current transformers and voltage transformers.
- Participate in customer meetings as required, active participation in project review meeting and adhere to the detailed project plan to meet on time delivery.
- To focus on optimized solutions with benefit to customer and HAPG and interface with civil, steel and application engineers on systems or solutions part from Hitachi Energy or EPC companies.

Your background
- A bachelor’s degree or 3 years of diploma in electrical engineering or relevant industry is preferred.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in GIS is required.
- Hand on experience in 3D tools like ProE / CREO, AUTOCAD, MS Office.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards such as IEC/ANSI and high voltage GIS products.
- Preparation of GIS layouts for various voltage levels as part of product team and understanding of variances and how variances can be minimized in the design.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
