We are seeking an experienced and strategic PMO Senior Manager with 15+ years of progressive experience in project and program management. This leadership role is responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide project governance, portfolio planning, delivery frameworks, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of PMO best practices, is a certified PMP and/or Agile practitioner, and brings strong cross-functional leadership, portfolio oversight, and business alignment capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the PMO function, including processes, tools, templates, and governance structures to support enterprise-wide project delivery.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of a portfolio of projects and programs across business units and technical teams.
- Define and enforce project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid) and ensure consistency across all initiatives.
- Develop and manage project portfolio reporting, including KPIs, timelines, resource allocation, budget tracking, and benefits realization.
- Provide guidance and oversight to project and program managers, ensuring alignment to organizational priorities.
- Partner with senior leadership to assess business needs, prioritize initiatives, and align resources accordingly.
- Facilitate portfolio-level risk management, escalation processes, and mitigation planning.
- Lead the annual project planning cycle, supporting strategic initiative selection and capacity planning.
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations and status reports to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, introducing best practices, and mentoring project teams.
- Evaluate and implement project management tools and systems to enhance visibility and control.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management, with significant time spent in a leadership or PMO-focused role.
- Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects and programs in dynamic environments.
- Strong understanding of governance, project financials, change control, and risk frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and scaling PMO capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience interfacing with C-level executives.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
- Experience working across IT and business functions is highly desirable.
