Nile University is the first entrepreneurial, research-based, national University in Egypt. Established in 2006, Nile University was officially inaugurated in January 2007 and became a non-governmental autonomously managed (Ahleya) university in 2014. Nile University is seeking to recruit outstanding and visionary candidates who can contribute to teaching, research, and service in a vibrant and challenging academic environment, to teach at the Architecture & Urban Design Program (ARUD) in the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences. We invite applications for the following specializations to apply:
- Computational & Parametric Design
- Candidates must have a strong academic and/or professional background in computational design and emerging technologies in architecture.
- Required expertise includes:
- Generative Design and Multi-Agent Systems (MAS).
- Parametric and Performative Design Approaches.
- Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Extended Reality (XR) Applications in Architectural Design.
- Environmental Simulation and Sustainable Performance-Driven Design.
- Digital Fabrication
- Proficiency in relevant software platforms (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, etc.) and experience integrating these tools into design pedagogy is expected.
- Multi-disciplinary Architecture & Urban Design
- Candidates should demonstrate strong design credentials, and a sound understanding of the integration between architectural and urban design.
- Desired qualifications include:
- A Solid background in environmental psychology, people-centered approaches parallel with Eco-friendly, smart cities, and Urban AI.
- Hands-on experience in heritage conservation or field-based urban design, especially in collaboration with industry and community stakeholders.
- Utilization of immersive tools such as VR in architecture and urban design
- Advanced integrative research methods that link architecture and urban design to social sciences
