The Senior Tendering Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process for civil, architectural, and MEP projects within Innovo Group. The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary tendering team, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of bids, maintaining alignment with strategic business goals, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are proposed to win competitive tenders. This role serves as the key interface between the tendering department and the wider engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Tender Management Lead and manage the full tender process including pre-qualification, bid preparation, submission, and post-submission clarifications.
- Oversee both Civil/Architectural and MEP elements of tenders to ensure coordination, compliance, and completeness.
- Coordinate with estimating, planning, engineering, and procurement teams to develop accurate and competitive bid proposals.
- Review tender documentation including specifications, drawings, BOQs, and contract terms, and identify key requirements and risks.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary tendering team.
- Allocate resources efficiently across multiple tenders and ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress, identify issues, and ensure quality and accuracy.
- Cost Estimation & Value Engineering: Oversee and validate cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in pricing strategies.
- Initiate value engineering proposals where applicable to enhance cost efficiency and project viability.
- Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers during the tendering phase.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Business Development, Procurement, and Planning to support the bidding process.
- Attend tender clarification meetings and site visits when necessary.
